Whole School Support

Math Foundations works with Charter Schools to improve math instruction at all levels. We do this by providing:

  • Program evaluation
  • Strategic planning
  • Diagnostic assessments of students
  • In-class instructional support
  • Ongoing professional development

Our SMARTTM coaches work directly with teachers and administration to do ongoing monitoring of student progress.  A key feature of hte SMART methodology is an assessment and monitoring tool to track student progress through one-on-one conferences with their teacher or tutor. We believe that students need focused attention from an adult (not a computer) to diagnose and remediate misconceptions about math.

Progress Monitoring for Teachers

Our web-based delivery model provides schools with the resources to monitor progress for every student on a variety of math content skills. These skills have been mapped against the Common Core State Standards and give teachers a clear roadmap for assessing skills, implementing instruction and meeting individual and class academic achievement goals.

Continuous Improvement Model

Math Foundations works in collaboration with schools to implement a continuous improvement model by regularly monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and administration for improvement. The data allows the school to make decisions about how to best target support.
